We will be posting one new day of someones life every day until we run out of contributors. See our instagram stories to experience these peoples One Day in action.

You Sigh - Charlie Cunningham
What is the story behind your profession/ passion?
I studied IT and went on an exchange to study abroad in Australia. I antecedently (and luckly) ended up with a course in product development. First thing i did when I got back home was to google product design programs.
How do you want people to react to your work / passion?
Combining an artistic eye, a crafters hand and a designers head has been important for
me the last years. As the artist in me can focus on shape and form, the craftsman knows both techniques and material and the designer can design the process. I wish that this combination of fields is communicated in my products and that its valued.
How has the current situation affected how you work?
Being laid off work and staying in has made catching up with all the stuff on my to do-list possible. Even though the workshops has closed and I am not able to make prototypes in the same way, I found a way around it and installed a mini wokrshop in the basement with the necessities for a creative outlet.
Define what beauty means to you.
Objects that have well and truly stood the test of time. To see traces of use and patina surfaces on natural materials.
Function or form?
Can't I have both?
Analog or digital?
The combination of them is defiantly my way of working, but if I had to choose there is no doubt I would go for analog.
Your best trait?
Persistence. I can't handle doing anything half way or leaving projects halfway done.
Quality or quantity?
Quality.
Who do you miss?
Hugs from friends and family... And at this point I wouldnt mind a good night out
How do you relax?
With music that matches my mood.
If you were forced to sit still for one month straight without pursuing your current profession, how would you spend your time?
Building Lego.
What does freedom mean to you?
The opportunity and time to explore whatever makes me curious.
Should calm come from within or be facilitated by the environment?
Being forced to stay in, I have learned to slow down, not stress and be present. We have spent the last two years making our home a home and now I finally had the time to enjoy it. Even though things are uncertain and at times scary, I am happy I have a safe space I can call home.
