Benk&Bo offered a diverse palette of products and experiences by inviting in a variety of experts in their fields. From food producers to furniture makers, Benk&Bo was continually inspired to engage with those who shared their enthusiasm.
In March 2019 Lizzy Kaplan took the role as Managing Director at Benk&Bo and the following 4 years of the businesses was heavily influenced by Mariell and Lizzy´s friendships, connections and interests - creating a unique environment for friends and friends friends.
Together they ran jazz nights, handfuls of exhibitions, community evenings, workshops, book clubs and a wide range of events alongside the daily running of the cafe and library.
The idea of Benk&Bo is rooted in the Arctic Island Andøya, where Mariell grew up in a tight knit community in which people rely on each other, their practical skills and nature to live a sustainable and healthy life.
