Benk&Bo are inviting CLO to have an in-depth, free flowing conversation with Post Carbon Lab, Made My Wardrobe, Rotaro and Oghalè Alex about how technology can help us build a brighter future.
The panel talk will last for one hour, with the tail end being open for questions. After the talk the bar will be open and you can hang around until 10pm!
DJ & Hannes (Post Carbon Lab)
DJ and Hannes, the co-founders of Post Carbon Lab - a transdisciplinary design research studio focusing on sustainability. Catering to the urgent need of change within the fashion and textile industries. Their research area lies in sustainable and regenerative dyeing and coating processes for textiles. Post Carbon Lab is a collaboration-based social enterprise.
Lydia Higginson (Made My Wardobe)
On 1st January 2016 Lydia Higginson decided to start making her entire wardrobe from scratch. By the end of that year she had made over 60 garments and given away all the clothes that she had ever bought from shops. Made My Wardrobe's mission is to bring resources and materials to anyone who wants to make their own clothes. As the project built momentum she had lots of women get in touch to say they would love to learn how to make their own clothes, so she started teaching workshops all over the UK. She has a dream that one day it will be as normal to make your own clothes as it is to make your own dinner.
Georgie Hyatt (Rotaro)
Georgie Hyatt is the CEO & Co-Founder of Rotaro, a leading luxury fashion rental platform working directly with brands like Rixo and Ganni in the UK. Rotaro exists to help you experiment with fashion more mindfully and to curb brands' over-production.
Oghalè Alex (ISOKO)
Inspired by both Japanese and Nigerian origins, ISOKO is a premium fashion brand built on the foundations of calm, care, and community. Reducing stress from the everyday, being honest with our production process and facilitating conversations among one another. Only producing items once sold to help the mission to remove over consumption altogether. Each collection is released just once and is never to be sold again.
